Maria Orozco

PHARR - Maria Orozco, 74, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Pharr surrounded by her family. Mrs. Orozco was preceded in death by her husband, Jose L. Orozco; her son Miguel Esparza; parents, Pedro and Rebecca Esparza; siblings, Maria Magdalena Olmeda, Maria Guadalupe Esparza, Isabel Gutierrez, and Gabriel Esparza. 

Mrs. Orozco is survived by her five children, Rogelio Esparza, Jose (Claudia) Orozco Jr., Juan (Martha) Orozco, Amalia E. (Jesus) Valadez, Abram Orozco; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;  siblings, Antonio (Angelica) Esparza, Nazario (Irma) Esparza, Juanita (Vicente) Lopez, Oralia (Juan) Valdez, and Yolanda (Javier) Orozco; numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 Monday, January 19, 2026, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
