Maria Francisca Recio

HIDALGO- Maria Francisca Recio, 87, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in McAllen. Mrs. Recio was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Recio; parents,  Reyes Martinez and Felicitas Reyna; five siblings, Maria Davila, Juanita Cantu, Carmela Rodriguez, Jose Martinez, and Jesus Martinez.

Mrs. Recio is survived by her three children, Hector (Sandra) Peña Jr., Bertha (Jose Luis) Alaffa, and Oscar (Veronica) Recio; ten grandchildren, Kristy (David) Amaro, Gregorio (Myranda) Alaffa, Jacqueline Peña, Guillermo (Claudia) Recio, Jose Luis (Lexi) Alaffa Jr., Miranda Recio, Leyla (Pablo) Alaffa, Belinda Recio, Korina Recio, Melissa (Tony) Herrera; thirteen great grandchildren; one sibling, Zita Peña; numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p..m. on Thursday, December 11,2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 208 E Camelia Ave., in Hidalgo. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
