Marisa Rivera

EDINBURG - Marisa Rivera, 68, went to be with our Lord on Monday, April 6, 2026, in Harlingen. Ms. Rivera was preceded in death by her parents, Roberto and Esperanza Rivera.

Marisa Rivera was a woman of strength, kindness, dignity, and deep love for her family and friends. She carried herself with resilience, grace, and a warm energy that always comforted those around her. Through her work and her relationships, she gave generously of herself, always offering guidance, kindness, and unwavering support. She leaves behind a legacy of everlasting beauty—encompassed by love, generosity, protection, and leadership—that will continue to live on through her son, her grandson, and all who knew her.

She was also deeply involved in her community, contributing her time and heart to organizations such as the EOW Relief Foundation, the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals, the Edinburg Arts Foundation, and the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she made a lasting and meaningful impact through her service and dedication.

Her life was a true example of noble character and selflessness. She will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever honored.

Ms. Rivera is survived by her son, Roberto Rivera; a grandson, Roberto Jeremiah Rivera; two sisters, Mireya (Agustin) "Augie" Lozano, and Nelly (Michael) Fox; three nieces, Laura (Heriberto) Garza, Lucinda Rodriguez, Claudia (Sam) Castillo Jackel, and Adrian Castillo; numerous grand nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
