EDINBURG- Maximino Ortiz, 92, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Edinburg. Mr. Ortiz is preceded in death by his parents Isabel Ortiz, and Tomasa Martinez.

Mr. Ortiz is survived by his four children, Jaime J. (Jazmin) Ortiz, Jose Luis (Dina) Ortiz, Ana D. (Max) Ortiz-Hernandez, and Nora Ray; eleven grandchildren, Jessica L Clayton, Javier A. Ortiz, Jose Luis Ortiz Jr., Ricardo Olaque Jr., Lizeth M. Hernandez, Karina A. Hernandez, Brittany D. Hernandez, Max Matthew Hernandez, Gaylon Ray, Gaylia Ray, and Gianna Ray; seven great grandchildren, Oliver R. Ortiz, Carter Ortiz, Luna Clayton, Charlee Clayton, Harper Clayton, Izaias R. Olaque, and Alfredo E. Olaque; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a 5 p.m. prayer service on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
