Miguel "Mike" Angel Salinas

EDINBURG - Miguel (Mike) Angel Salinas, 61, entered eternal rest on September 20, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1964, in Edinburg, Texas, to the late Lazaro and Maria Salinas. A lifelong resident of Edinburg, Miguel cherished his hometown and the community he called home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lazaro and Maria Salinas; and siblings, Maria Elia Ortega, Arnoldo Salinas, Hector Salinas, and Gilberto Salinas.

Mike was a proud graduate of Edinburg High School, class of 1982. In 1989, he married Gloria Lopez, and together they built a beautiful family rooted in love, faith, and togetherness. He was a devoted father who found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and family. He dedicated most of his career to the field of warehouse and delivery distribution, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and reliability. Outside of work, Mike loved music and singing karaoke, enjoyed playing golf with his sons and friends, barbequing for his family, and embracing the outdoors. Known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and great sense of humor, he had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. Mike also had a tender heart for animals, rescuing and caring for those in need.

Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gloria Lopez Salinas; his children, Jeremy Michael Salinas, Dylan Matthew (Zaira) Salinas, and Michaela Marie Salinas; six siblings, Ofilia Peña Salinas, Felipe (Katy) Salinas, Arturo Salinas, Laura (Richard) Ruiz, Jorge Salinas, and Lazaro (Flor) Salinas, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and love.

Mike will be remembered as a man of laughter, compassion, and deep devotion to his family. His legacy will live on through the love he shared and the countless memories he created.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Celebration of Life service followed by a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
