NOHEMI MADARIETA

EDINBURG - We are sad to announce the passing of Nohemi Madarieta on Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her death. Nohemi truly lived life to the fullest, devoting her time to family and home. Her pleasures were visiting family, gardening, and traveling. Mrs. Madarieta was preceded in death by her husband, Federico Madarieta; parents, Margarita Santos and Manuel Santos; three siblings, Guillermo Santos, Armando Santos, and Manuel Santos.

Nohemi is survived by her daughter, Carmela Madarieta (Noe Jimenez); four grandchildren, Rene Tijerina Jr., Ashley Tijerina (Diego Rivera), Lorie Jimenez, and Virginia Jimenez; four siblings, Maria Elena Vergara, Myrna Looney (Richard), Blanca Santos (Frank Hidalgo), and Rudy Santos; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2023, at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
