Olga Pena

The family of Olga Olivarez Pena, 98, announces her passing to her eternal life on June 26, 2026. Mother's lifetime faith was her belief that God is Love. This belief was embedded in her love for her children, husband, parents, and family.

Passing before were her husband of 50 years, Leonel H. Pena; parents Francisco Olivarez and Maria Alvarado, and sisters Ogla Olivarez and Elia Guerra.

Family survivors include sister Irene Alaniz; sons Neri Aaron, Esau Rubio (Patricia), Eben Leonel (Mary Alice), and Dr. Eli Eric Pena; grandchildren Ret. Lt. Col./ Dr. Leonel Alfonso (Dr. Patricia), Michael Eben (Kanokwan), Telisa Evanna Pena, and Alina Neri (Noah) Lehman; and great grandchildren Maximillano and Karelyna Munoz, Carly Pena, and Aurora Lehman.

Mother believed that the relationships we develop in life and share with family and friends become the memories and jewels in our lives. She leaves us with a myriad of wonderful memories.

Special thanks to the staff of The Bridges at Edinburg and Compassionate Care Hospice, Dr. David Schneiderman, and Dr. Marco Gutierrez.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel gathering will be at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg
