Patricia Ann Ramirez

EDINBURG - Patricia Ann Ramirez went to be with our Lord on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Edinburg. She was born on July 15, 1952, and grew up in Laredo, Texas. At 19 years old, she moved to the Rio Grande Valley, where she would build her life, raise her family, and begin a career that she truly loved.

Patricia studied cosmetology in the Weslaco area and went on to spend nearly 40 years teaching cosmetology with Edinburg CISD. She loved what she did, and over the years she had the opportunity to teach generations of students. Cosmetology was a natural fit for Patricia and her personality, and teaching allowed her to share something she loved with so many others.

Patricia was charismatic and had a personality people remembered. And if you knew Patricia, chances are you remember her long red nails. Red was her color, most often OPI’s Big Apple Red, and they became part of her signature look. It was a small detail, but one that was unmistakably her.

Family was an important part of Patricia’s life. She shared more than four decades of marriage with her husband, Arnoldo Ramirez, and together they raised their two children, Jaime and Cory. Their family grew to include five grandchildren Diego, Alejandro, Donabella, Aliana, and Ariana, and her great-grandson, Dominic.

Patricia also shared a special bond with her sisters. She was the second oldest of five girls, and she remained very close to her sisters throughout her life.

Patricia leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, generations of students whose lives she touched, and so many people who will remember her exactly as she was. Charismatic, memorable, and completely herself.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a 4 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
