Ramon Astom

RAMON A. ASTOM JR. MCALLEN - Ramon A. Astom Jr., 81, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in the Philippines he had lived in McAllen since 1989. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Juana Astom; a brother, Emilio Astom. Mr. Astom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Flora M. Astom; four children, Arlene (William) Astom Stanley, Raymond (Corazon) Astom, Ronald (Janiz) Astom and Roland (Chona) Astom; 9 grandchildren; two brothers, Artemio and Fernando Astom; a sister, Maria Ventigan. Visitation will be from 5pm to 9m with a 7pm Celebration of Life Sunday July 12, 2015, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
