RAUL "BLUE" G. SALINAS

ALAMO - Raul "Blue" G. Salinas, 83, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Mr. Salinas was preceded in death by his sons, Carlos and Juan Salinas; his grandsons, Joshua Lee and Carlos David; his parents, Cruz and Margarita Salinas.

Blue truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; talking with family and friends outside in his front porch and eating Delia's tamales with a cup of coffee. He adored seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved watching them Cowboys till the very end.

Blue is survived by his wife, Fermina Salinas; four children, Maggie (Jesse) De La Cruz of Buda, Tx, Raul Salinas Jr. of Alamo, Gracie (Gustavo) Perez of Edinburg, and Lee Roy Salinas of Alamo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Roberto Salinas of Alamo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
