REBECA CANTU

EDINBURG - Rebeca Cantu, 89, went to be with Lord, Saturday, March 9, 2019, in McAllen. Born in China, N.L., Mexico she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Ms. Cantu is preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Gonzalez; her parents, manuel and Felipa Cantu; seven brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Cantu is survived by her five daughters, Gabriela (Francisco) Aguillon, Elda Alicia (Sergio) Davila, Laura Gonzalez, Rebeca (Cesar Wong) Gonzaelz, and Ana Cantu; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Gloria Cantu de Silva; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
