Mr. Garcia was a proud US Army veteran having served his country during the Korean Conflict. For many years, he was a dedicated member of the American Legion, assisted with veteran affairs ceremonies throughout the city of McAllen through the VFW (Veteran of Foreign Wars), and most significantly served as part of the funeral guard for our fallen heroes as well as soldiers & veterans who died from natural causes.

He retired from the Coca Cola management team after having faithfully committed more than 35 plus years of employment. Rene was a licensed electric journeyman whose hobby was to assist family members and friends with home building projects. He cherished his loved ones and dedicated his life to being the strength and support of his family.
