Reynaldo Gonzales Jr.

MCALLEN- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reynaldo Gonzales Jr, a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and hardworking man, who left this world on July 13, 2025 at the age of 67. Mr. Gonzales is preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo Gonzales Sr. and Guadalupe Gonzales; two siblings, Dora Carrillo and Carmen Luera.

Born on March 8, 1958 in Weslaco, Texas, Reynaldo lived a life defined by dedication, integrity, and unconditional love. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his family, never shying away from responsibility and always putting the needs of others before his own. His strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering perseverance were admired by all who knew him.

More than anything, Reynaldo was a family man. He was a loving father who guided his children with patience and wisdom, and a proud grandfather & great grandfather whose face lit up every time he was surrounded by his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he never missed a moment to share his love, lend his support, or offer a steady hand.

He will be remembered not only for the life he built, but for the way he lived—with humility, kindness, and a heart full of love. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down, the stories he told, and the lives he touched.

Though he may be gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.

Mr.Gonzales is survived by his wife, Rosalinda P. Gonzales, five children, Azucena (Noe) Rodriguez, Yvette (Robert) Cross, Benjamin (Connie ) Peña Jr., Jesus Reynaldo (Annette) Gonzales, and Crystal Gonzales; fifteen grandchildren, Andrew, Adrian, Emilio, Suzette, Hazel, Joseph Rey, Jayda, Julian, Saidee, Marcus, Lucas, Jayden, Jonathan, Carissa, and Julissa; seven great grand children, Sofia, Adrian Jr., Maya, Liviah, Christina, Josiah, and Benjamin; eight sibliings, Manuel Gonzales, Gilberto Gonzales, Edelmira Montemayor, Rogelio Gonzales, Elena Marin, Valentina Gonzales, Juanita Garza, and Lisa Gonzales; numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
