PHARR - Roberto Canales Martinez, 84, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Mr. Canales is preceded in death by his parents, Claudio and Josefina Canales; 3 siblings, Arnoldo, Gilberto and Juan Canales.

Mr. Canales is survived by his wife, Maria M. Canales; 4 children, Raquenel C. Alvarez, Roxanna Canales, Roberto Canales Jr., and Rodrigo A. Canales; 5 siblings, Eduardo Canales, Armando Canales, Horacio Canales, Guadalupe Canales and Romelia C. Arrona; 6 grandchildren, Jacqueline Alvarez, Nayelie Alvarez, Jolene C. Canales, Adrian Azael Alvarez, Clark S. Canales and Wesley R. Canales; 4 great grandchildren, Sophia Solis, Ximena Solis, Dariane Solis and Gael S. Alvarez; numeorus family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at St. Judes Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
