San Juan - Romeo Cano, 47, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Mr. Cano is survived by his wife, Evangelina Cano; three children, Aiden Cano, Kyle Cano, and Jacob Manuel Cano; his parents, Manuel Cano Jr. and Ofelia Cano; two siblings, Monica Cano and Melanie (Artemio) Arevalo; five nieces, Nicole Ruiz, Natalie Ruiz, Khloe Arevalo, Angela Ruiz, and Caroline Ruiz; two nephews, Nathan Ruiz and Lucas Arevalo.
Romeo Cano was a devoted husband, proud father, and beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He had a heart as big as his smile and was always ready to help anyone in need. Whether he was barbecuing for loved ones, cheering on the Cowboys and OU, or simply enjoying time with family, Romeo brought joy and warmth to every moment.
He loved deeply, lived generously, and laughed often. More than anything, he was proud of his sons and the life he built with his family. His kindness, strength, and love will never be forgotten.
Romeo’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
