RUPERTA CANTÚ MCALLEN - Ruperta Cantú, 88, entered eternal rest Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in Edinburg. Mrs. Cantú was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Cantú; her parents, Luis and Sabas Gracia; her brother, Ventura Gracia; her sister, Victoria Gonzalez. Mrs. Cantú is survived by her five children, Juan Ruben (Lupita) Cantú, Roberto (Mandy) Cantú, Blanca Elizabeth (Daniel) Hughbanks, Marisol (John) Farias, Nora (Sandra Leija) Cantú; seven grandchildren, Juan Ruben Jr., Cristina, Roberto Jaime, Lizeth, Christian, Giada, and Gael; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a 1 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. At the Families request no donations need to made, flowers can be sent. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
