Sabrina Guajardo

MCALLEN - Sabrina Guajardo, 45, entered eternal rest at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Mrs. Guajardo was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria; grandparents, Amelia and Bernardo; uncle Benny; aunt Carla; her great grandparents, Virginia and Francisco.

A Beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and Artist

Sabrina was born May 12, 1978 in Edinburg, TX to Gloria Carolina Paez Ramon. Sabrina loved fiercely, had a soul full of adventure, devoted her life to God, and family.

Sabrina married Guadalupe Guajardo on December 6, 1997. Sabrina and Lupe were blessed with a spiritual family with Humberto and Ellie.

In 2015, Sabrina graduated from The University of Texas – Pan American with a master’s degree in fine arts where she focused on 2D and 3D mixed media and metal works.

She was an artist and when she was not creating art, she was a beloved educator. Throughout her studies and beyond, she was an art teacher for almost twelve years at Edcouch-Elsa ISD (Highschool). She was an avid lover of fashion, shopping, and was generous towards others.

Sabrina is survived by her husband, Guadalupe; son and daughter, Humberto and Ellie; sister Liza; her bestie, Camelia (Robert); numerous family, friends and her puppy Bruce.

Sabrina will be remembered for her fiery spirit, strength, perseverance, and sense of humor.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
