MCALLEN - Sara Valdez, 80, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Mrs. Valdez is preceded in death by her parents, ; 1 brother, Victor V.; 1 sister, Manuela C.; her son, Jose E. Valdez.

Mrs. Valdez is survived by her children, Sarita (Martin) Flores, Ruth (Steve) S., Jesse (Roxanne) V., Cesar A. (Edna) V.; 12 grandchildren, Martin Flores Jr., Josh Flores, Isaac J. Flores, Shannon Valdez, Matthew Valdez, Liam Jesus Valdez, Valerie Rose Valdez, Luke Gabriel Valdez, Michael Joseph Valdez, Alesik Yvette Valdez, Ceasar Augusto "CJ" Valdez Jr., and Montzerrat Estefania Valdez; 6 great grandchildren; numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Hidalgo City Cemetery in Hidalgo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
