Teresa Malacara

EDINBURG - Teresa Malacara, 77, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Julio Morales Cisneros, and Manuela Hernandez; her three sisters, Rebeca, Olga, and Margarita. 

Mrs. Malacara is survived by her husband, Gilberto Malacara; three children, Juan G. (Tabetha) Malacara, Adriana (Fidel) Malacara, and Maritza (Israel) Malacara-Cazares; eleven siblings, Rafael, Julio Jr., Socorro, Delfina, Maria Luisa, Evangelina, Manuela, Francisco, Humberto, Maria Luisa, and Miguel. 

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
