Thomas Ray Deckard

MCALLEN - Thomas Ray Deckard, 66, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Mr. Deckard was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Lee Deckard and Charlotte May Sherwood.

Mr. Deckard is survived by his wife, Danielle Shavon Deckard; seven children, Tanya Lyzbeth Deckard, Thomas Ray(Miriam) Deckard Jr., Maribel Borrego, Brianna Borrego, Albert Borrego, Shanice Washington, and Jayden Washington; six siblings, Carol (Ken) Denman, Terry (Clarence) Alberts, Michael (Belinda) Deckard, Brenda Villarreal, Russell Deckard, and James (Susana) Deckard; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday September 4, 2025 at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
