Tomasa S. Alaniz

MCALLEN - Tomasa S. Alaniz, 79, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Mrs. Alaniz is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Silva and Michaela Palomin Silva; 3 siblings, Rebecca Lara, Rachel Handy and Ramiro Silva.

Mrs. Alaniz is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Alaniz; her son, Alberto (Sylvia) Alaniz; 2 grandchildren, Aniella and Justin Alaniz; 3 great grandchildren, Lucia G. Alaniz, Benjamin H. Alaniz and Paisley Salas; 1 sibling, Dominga Gutierrez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
