Ubaldo Vasquez Jr.

MCALLEN - Uvaldo Vasquez Jr., 65, departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in McAllen, to join our Lord and Savior. Ubaldo was preceded in death by his parents, Uvaldo and Paulina Vasquez; his brother, Richard Vasquez. Mr. Vasquez was a proud veteran who honorable served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Navy Reserves. 

Ubaldo was a dedicated registered nurse who spent his life caring for others with compassion, strength,  and unwavering kindness. His work touched the lives of countless patients and families, and his presence brought comfort to anyone lucky enough to know him. He was deeply loved and respected by all who crossed his path.

Outside his career, Ubaldo found joy in working with his hands. He loved woodworking and built beautiful furniture for his home, creating lasting memories with every piece. He had a gift fo fixing just about anything. He also had a deep love for motorcycles, riding brought him joy and freedom. He especially loved taking his kids for rides and attending motorcycle and car shows. Ubaldo also enjoyed spending time with family and friends around the grill, BBQing was one of his favorite ways to bring people together. 

Ubaldo is survived by his wife, Marylou Vasquez; his children, Tiffany (Pedro) Grijalva, and Jason Vasquez; two grandchildren, Anthony and Ava Grijalva; two sisters, Martha and Geraldine Vasquez; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with military honors at 5:00 p.m. and a  6:30 p.m. Celebration of Life service Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. All who knew him are welcome to attend and honor his memory.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
