Yolanda C. Leal

DONNA- Yolanda Castillo Leal, lovingly known as Yoli, was born on March 5, 1954, in Slaton, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs.Rosalio and Juana (Hernandez) Castillo. She gained her wings on April 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Yolanda was a devoted wife to Juan Leal, a loving mother, sister, grandmother and a loving “Tia” & also known a beloved friend whose life was centered around her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan Leal; her father, Rosalio Castillo, son, Jacob Leal, and her brother, Art Castillo..

She is survived by her sons, Mike Castillo and Rick (Leticia) Leal; her siblings, Sandy Castillo, Tony Castillo, and Paul Castillo; and her cherished grandchildren, Jada, Jaizon, Jaslynn, Stella, Christopher, and Ethan, who were the heart of her life and her greatest joy.

Yolanda dedicated many years of her career to Wal-Mart, where she worked as an Invoice Clerk. She also spent time working in insurance before retiring to focus on what mattered most to her—her family, especially her grandchildren.

She found joy in traveling, was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, and especially loved cheering on her grandsons under the Friday night lights. Those moments brought her immense pride and happiness.

Yolanda was a force to be reckoned with—passionate, strong, and full of kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She will be dearly missed but forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
