Zulema Escobar

EDINBURG - Zulema Escobar, 82, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Edinburg. Mrs. Escobar was preceded in death by husband, Bernabe Escobar; her parents, Alfredo Cantu and Juanita Beltran Guerra; her brother, Guadalupe Lerma.

Mrs. Escobar is survived by her children, Debra (John) Cavazos, and Steven (Joe Castro) Escobar; her granddaughter, Rebecca Cavazos; six siblings, Alfredo Cantu Jr., Yolanda Herrera, Rudy Guerra, Norma Banda, Ventura Guerra, and Gonzalo Morales; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
